Sue Weiland Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sue Weiland of Minneapolis, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Buck" Istas and LaVada Istas (Hofflinger); her husband Bill Weiland (Bill); her son Eric Barnett; her parents-in-law, Charles (Bud) and Henrietta Weiland; her grandson Kurtis Weiland; her brother-in-law Mike Muehl; and her niece Christina Frechette.
She is survived by: her children, Justin Barnett (Jenny) of Tescott, Jeremy Weiland (Diane) of Ellsworth, Kansas and Meredith Gleason (Nick); her grandchildren, Brookelyn, Luke, Owen, Brynlee and Jessica; her sisters, Midge Gartner (Terry) and Nancy Muehl of Minneapolis, Kansas; and her aunts, Shirley Lott of Minneapolis and Theresa Peltier of Concordia, Kansas.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilson Family Funeral Home (405 Argyle Ave, Minneapolis, KS 67467). A rosary was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Prayer Vigil and Rosary Service Wilson Family Funeral Home (405 Argyle Ave, Minneapolis, KS 67467). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (216 Cherry St, Minneapolis, KS 67467).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Tammy Walker Cancer Center and may be left in care of the funeral home.
