He is survived by: his children, Lisa Nixon (Jim) of Leawood and Brian Empson of Olathe; his siblings, Kathleen Wolfe of Salina and Randy Empson (Cheryl) of Payette; his grandchildren, Heather Empson of Topeka, Shannon Nixon of Shawnee, Madilyn and Olivia Ruhl of Manhattan; and his great grandchildren, Brody and Chloie of Topeka.
