Gary Shandy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Shandy of Milford, Kansas, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Payne and Dorothy Emily Shandy (Moyer); his brother Kenneth; his former wife Leona Kidd Hanson; his sister Joan Martin (Bill); his niece Annette Shandy Hardman; his nephew Kyle Martin; his great-niece Rachel Shandy; and also Iris Farlow.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Joy; his children, Peggy Shandy Lane (Winter) of Olathe, Kan., Dr. Dianna Shandy (David Power) of St. Paul, Minn. and Gregory Shandy of Milford; and his grandchildren, Rhetta, Oran Power, Merritt Lane, Kailee and Tabitha Wallace. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, and his cats, Buddy.
A memorial has been established for the Wakefield Museum.
