He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Phyllis; his children, Brewel Currie (Susan) of Junction City, KS, Antoinette Marie Johnson (Steven) of Burlington, NC and Tynika Rochelle Sutton (Larry) of Fayetteville, NC; his mother Katherine Robinson of Phoenix, AZ; his siblings, Horace Bell, Jr. (LaVera) of Phoenix, AZ and Bessie Lee Woodruff (James) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Matthew Daniel Arevelo, El'Lisa Tychelle Currie, Navon Yoseph Abir Currie, Micah Yonah Amir Currie, Morgan Elon Simone Johnson, Jenica N'Chele Jackman, Bri and Xiana Jean Currie; his great grandchild Joseph Arevelo; his adoptive mother Bessie Lee Cook; and his grandchildren, Detric Johnson and Gabrielle Currie.
