She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin O. Jackson and Clara T. Luft; and her former husband Ronald D. Mears. She is survived by: her children, Ronnie, Mark, Cindy Ford (Chuck), Stacy Ford and Tracy Talkin (Greg); and her grandchildren, Jodee, Stuart, Cassidy, Erin, William, Madison, Andrew, Abby, Jacob, Joshua, Brandon and Haley. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

Darlene's wishes were to have memorial donations made to Hope Lutheran Church in Shawnee, KS. and St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Kansas City, KS.
