He was predeceased by: his parents, James Eugene, Sr. and Helen Leona Lederer (Pitts); and his niece Becky Todd. He is survived by: his parent-in-law Jerriann Cohorst; his children, Jacqueline Casto, Anthony Lederer, Jackie Casto and AJ Lederer (Danessa); his sisters, Cindi Stueland (Terry) and Jeannie Dillon (James); his nieces and nephews, Guy, Kevin, Jimmy, Angie, Angel and Riane; his grandchildren, Tyler, Weston, Isaac, Levi, Ellie and Elsali; and his great grandchild Isabel.

Memorials may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission.
