With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Meador (Medicine Lodge, Kansas), born in Anthony, Kansas, who passed away on May 13, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren A. Meador and Frances Marcella "Marcy" Meador (Vancyoc); his wives, Jo (Denton) and Maureen; and his sister Ann Mortimer.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Meador (Christina) of Medicine Lodge, KS, Kelsey Hott (Aaron) of Medicine Lodge, KS, Halee Meador of Overland Park, KS, Kelly Forsyth (Daniel) of Denver, CO, Whitney Forsyth (Jessica) of Denver, CO and Tramer; his grandchildren, Ella Jo, Hendrix, Blythe Meador, Jordan Forsyth, Braxton, Maddox and Rynli; his siblings, Jeannie Thrasher of Wilson, KS and Stu Meador (Leslie) of Marion, KS; and his close friend Vickey Bartel of El Dorado, KS.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Medicine Lodge Golf Course or the First Christian Church of Medicine Lodge, in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
