With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raphael Gehlen of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gehlen and Helen Gehlen (Youngers); his spouse Lurinda Lee Gehlen (Chance); his great grandchild Myles; and his siblings, Alphons, Edward Gehlen, Alma Weber and Sister Lillian Gehlen.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Gehlen (Lydia) of Medicine Lodge, KS, Nicole Mull (Ian) of Heath, OH and Marsha Finch (Shawn) of Medicine Lodge, KS; his grandchildren, Leyann Wampler (Kyle), Mya Gehlen (Brayden Hellerud), Shilae Bland, Shiloe Bland, Stephen Finch (Amber), Aaleyah Finch, Angel Arredondo and Ruben Arredondo; his great grandchildren, Jaxton, Ava, Elam, Talia, Layla, Meyah, Douglas, Kendrick and Reese; his siblings, Arnold Gehlen (Sharon), Dolores Hudson (Kenneth), Catherine Wooten, Virginia Horn and Elizabeth Mosiman (Bill); and his brothers-in-law, Tim Chance (Janet) and Jerry Chance. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
