He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter G. Conaway and Nettie Fay Conaway (Lytle); his granddaughter Shala Washington; and his brothers, Robert "Bob" Conaway, Sr. and LeRoy Conaway.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Conaway (Wells) of Medicine Lodge, KS; his daughters, Jeanette McCauley (Travis) of Medicine Lodge, KS, Patty Barrera of Medicine Lodge, KS, Chris Stacey (Jeff) of Mounds, OK and Glenda Kelton (Gary) of San Angelo, TX; and his sisters, Ada Colborn (Gilbert) of Kiowa, KS and Faye Conaway of Mountain Home, AR.
