He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Joe Lynn Max and Katherine Nell Robbins (Roberts); his former wife Fia Jane Tiumalu; and his sister Katherine Clare Black. He is survived by: his children, Heather Kobs (Jeff) of Richardson, Texas, Tara Cunningham of Richardson, Texas, Trevin Bachman (Angela) of Meade, Misti Caddell of Yuma, Blake Bachman (Nina) of Yuma and Craig Bachman (Victoria) of Tucson, Arizona; his sister Linda Nell Leonard (Gene) of Kansas City, Missouri; his brother-in-law Rufus Black of Kansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Max, Fia, Gus, Eli, Monty, Hayden, Harrison, Skyler, Alissa, Jaelynn, Cooper, Ashley, Bailey, Brooklynn, Brandt and Dayvani; and his great grandchildren, Gunnar and Emersyn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would welcome memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers in care of the funeral home.
