She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl F. Avery and Matilda "Tillie" E. Avery (Krueger); her husband Robert L. Gutsch; her close friend Wayne Schafer; and her siblings, Wilbur "Bill", Monette Avery, Marcile Beardmore and June Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Roberta Herrs (DeWayne), Rebecca Meyer (Craig), Liberty, Robin Chapman (Kenneth), Gallatin, Rita Martin (Tod) and Casper; her siblings-in-law, Sue Gutsch (Marion) and Ray Gottstein; and her grandchildren, Ryan Herrs (Kelly Lyman), Joshua Meyer (Jamie), Tim Herrs, Jeremy Meyer (Jennifer), Elizabeth Herrs, Nikki Garcia (Chris), Andrew Chapman (Shereé), Emily Chapman and Shana Martin. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
