He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Flaherty and Vincent Flaherty; and his brothers, Russ and Gary. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Monja Kiefer (Todd), Chris Flaherty and Heather Silhan (Joe); his grandchildren, Paige Howe (Mason), Kai Kiefer, Jordan Kiefer, Emily Silhan, Brody Flaherty, Michael Silhan, Savannah Kiefer, Madison Kiefer and Easton Babcock; and his brother Steve Flaherty (Melissa). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
Memorial donations may be given to the Department of Development at Mayo Clinic (for MG Research) in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
