It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard D. Koenig of McPherson, Kansas, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Henry and Maude Mae Koenig (Cummins); his wife Phyllis Ann Wood; his siblings, Lucille Taylor, Dorothy Pracht, Frank "Bud" Koenig, Charles Koenig and Harry "Darwin" Koenig; and his great grandchild Hendrix Koenig.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Swisher (Galen) of Kula, HI, Steve Koenig (Connie) of Maize, KS and Judy Sanders (Robert) of Evans, GA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and many extended family.
