She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Harter and Hattie Harter (Register); her husband Russell Swanson; her siblings, Lila Dixon and Lloyd Harter; her daughters, Carla Cannon and Mona Rhae King; her granddaughter Danielle Clement; and her great grandchild Thaddaeus Robison.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathe Peters of Windom, KS and Dara Lea Hoffman (Joe) of Windom, KS; her pet Bambi; her foster children, Josie, Ricky, Robert, Carl, Bobby, Donald, Rebecca and Barbara; her grandchildren, Dennis, Chari, Jason, Tara and Justin; and her stepgrandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Sydni and Cory. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made payable to Cathe Peters for a memorial fund established to benefit one of Phyllis' family members who lost their home in a fire the morning of Phyllis' passing in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
