She was predeceased by: her parents, David Winter and Mary Elizabeth Winter (Schneider); her husband William Albert "Bud" Besecker; her daughter Pamela Bacon; her son-in-law Russ Jennings; and her siblings, Lydia Huenergardt, Olinda Meier, Esther Smith, Dorothy Converse, Helen Minns, Mary Jane Carlson, Ruth Ann Dick, Albert Winter and Robert Winter.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Besecker (Peggy) of Benton, WI and Judy Jennings of Lakin, KS; her son-in-law Van Bacon of Canton, KS; and her grandchildren, Scott Wayne Besecker (Martha), Amanda Ross, Jennifer Wilson (Sean), Jolene Schmidt (Dave), Justin Bacon, Jessica Boller (Matthew), Joseph Jennings, James Jennings, Julie Jennings and Jodie Werth (Leighton). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and many more extended relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stockham Family Funeral Home (205 N Chestnut St, McPherson, KS 67460). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
