He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred M. Howell (Merkel) and Weldon Gene Howell. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Howell of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Kent Nolan Howell of Topeka and Angela Howell of Inman, Kansas; and his siblings, Veneta Ediger (Paul) of McPherson, Norman Howell (Mei-Feng) of Fremont and Janice Wokaty (Terry) of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
