He is survived by: his wife Julie Ann Schlehuber; his children, Dustin Butler (Katie) of Lawrence, KS and Sarah Reeves (J. D.) of Augusta, KS; his grandchildren, Addison Butler, Jacie Butler, Avery Swemke and Rylen Reeves; and his brother Steve Butler (Maggie May) of McPherson, KS.
