She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Nelson (Mayfield) and Frank Emil Nelson; her husband Eugene "Gene" Ewing; and her daughter Diane Marian Ewing. She is survived by: her children, David Ewing (Carrie) of Warrensburg, Steven Ewing (Tanya) of Salina, Karen Voss (John) of Hutchinson and Mark Ewing (Carrie) of Manhattan, Kansas; her siblings, Dorine Bergren (Ron) of Manhattan, Frank Nelson of Manhattan and Glen Nelson (Nancy) of Manhattan, Kansas; her grandchildren, Sarah Ewing (Pallavi Sinha), Ian Ewing, Shane Ewing, Emily Martinez (Jorge), Elena Ewing, Annie Ewing, Jamison Martinez and Janelle Vierya; and her great grandchildren, Maddox Vierya and Luka Vierya.
