He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon M. Guffey and Ruby Guffey (May); his siblings, Ronald Guffey and Janis Johnson; his son Jeffrey Guffey; his grandson Trenton Yianakopulos; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Guffey.
He is survived by: his wife Kay F. Basgall; his children, Brian Guffey of McPherson, KS and Betty Laney (Josh) of Walton, KS; his grandchildren, Kane Guffey, Katelyn Guffey, Nichole Yianakopulos and Caleb Laney; his great grandchildren, Landyn Koons and Koda McFadden; his brother Richard Guffey (Deb) of Hays, KS; and his sister-in-law Carol Guffey of Brunswick, GA. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
