We are sad to announce that on May 18, 2022, at the age of 67, John H. Downing Jr. of McPherson, Kansas, born in Steelville, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard Downing, Sr. and Alice Evelyn Downing (Dixon); and his brother Thomas Downing. He is survived by: his wife Jean Downing; his children, John Downing, III (Mindy) of McPherson, KS and Joy Gravitt (Scott) of Gypsum, KS; his sisters, Barbara Moore (Doug) of Slocomb, AL and Terry Pope of Salina, KS; and his grandchildren, River Downing, Maleia Smith, Eli Downing, Mara Bellesine and Karsen Downing. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the John Downing Memorial Fund in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
