It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Christensen of McPherson, Kansas, born in Little River, Kansas, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Viola Melvina Lafferty (Coe); her sister Gladys; her son Randy Lee; and her father Ernest Lafferty. She is survived by: her siblings, Harold, Earl, Melvin, Herbert, Gene and Aldena; her former husband Ronald Mabes; her daughter Renee; her spouse Marlin Christensen of Galva; her daughters, Jacque Rinker (Ronn), Rhonda Hamby (Chuck) and Michelle Unruh (Brantley); her stepsons, Brian Christensen, Joel Christensen (Chris) of Fort Calhoun, NE and Royce Christensen; her grandchildren, Kari Rinker (Anthony Singer), Chad Rinker, Shane Smith, Kelcie Sanchez (Domingo), Kristopher Klatt, Jason Klatt (Nikki), Amy Lohmolder (Caleb), Kurtis Unruh, Joseph Unruh (Jessica), Lindsey Dellinger (Daniel), Calista Christensen, Kiley Arnold, Brock Christensen, Kayla Christensen, Kyle Christensen, Mary Irey Christensen and Elizabeth Annie Christensen; her great grandchildren, Sky Mangers, Abby, Ava Singer, Dawson, Sawyer Sanchez, Theo Lohmolder, Laurelle Unruh, Izzy Sinnett, Chloe, Hailey Arnold, Emily Rose Christensen, Lyla Christensen and Maisyn Rene Christensen; her son-in-law Steven Smith; and her brother LeRoy.
