Howard M. Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard M. Smith of McPherson, Kansas, who passed away on March 22, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray A. Smith and Mildred Helen Smith (Rump); his wife Vivian Smith; and his siblings, John Smith, Glen Smith, Gladys Meek and Helen Regehr.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Perry Smith (Krista) of Great Bend, KS and Norene Kerschen (Daniel) of Garden Plain, KS; and his grandchildren, Emily Pauly (Ethan), Jon Kerschen (Emily), Rachel Schmidt (Jeffrey), Keith Kerschen, Kim Hay (Marshall), Kelsey Sciacca (Adam) and Mason Smith. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Andover Lutheran Church, or American Red Cross in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
