It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther J. Benjamin of McPherson, Kansas, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Matthew "Jack" and Leona Virginia Hokett (Turner); and her sisters, Lois and Virginia. She is survived by: her husband Martin Benjamin of McPherson, KS; her children, Mary Schmidt-Hough of McPherson, KS, Steven Schmidt, Jr. of Weatherford and Brad Schmidt (Christen) of McPherson, KS; her brothers, Joesph Hokett (Suzanne) of Sylvan Grove, KS, William "Bill" Hokett (Robin) of Salina, KS and Harry Hokett (Jan) of Canton, KS.; her grandchildren, Shyanna Sorensen (Brandon), Devin Hohner, Zach Schmidt and Raina Schmidt; and her great grandchildren, Matthew Sorensen, Tymberlynn Sorensen and Lilly Sorensen.
