He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Richard and Maggie Mae Spence (McClain); his wife Winifred Lucile Jones; his granddaughter Dixie Spence; his daughters-in-law, Nadine Spence and Debbie Spence; and his siblings, Richard Spence and Audrey McNichols.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Spence of McPherson, KS and Lee Spence of Hutchinson, KS; his grandchildren, April Spence of Chicago, IL, Abbigail Peddieson (John) of Henderson, NV, Dustin Spence (Megan) of Olathe, KS and Alex Spence of Hutchinson, KS; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Peddieson, Eliza Spence and Jameson Spence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
