He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Irene (Corwin) and Eben Johnson; his brother Jerry Johnson; and his grandson Jase Trevor Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Paula Goldthwaite of McPherson, Karen Weltmer (Eric) of Hutchinson, David Johnson (Becky) of Paola, Danyelle Johnson (Gary) of McPherson and Kelsey Johnson of McPherson; his grandchildren, Scott Weltmer (Alicia) of Manhattan, Aaron Weltmer of Hutchinson, Kailey Johnson (Daniel) of Topeka, Logan Johnson of Paola and Isaac Johnson of Paola; his brother Tom Johnson (Bev) of McPherson; and his sister-in-law Jane Johnson of McPherson. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Home Care of Reno County, the City of McPherson Fire Department or New Gottland Lutheran Church.
