He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Harvey and Pearl Evelyn Olson (Bullene); his daughter Dana Olson; and his siblings, Robert W. Olson and Gloria Ann Sylvester (Verona Olson).
He is survived by: his wife Tonya Olson of McPherson, Kansas; his son Kirk L. Olson (Esmeralda) of Austin, Texas; his stepchildren, Becky Unruh (Delmar) of Galva, J. J. "Jamie" Heidebrecht (Debi) of McPherson and Kerry Heidebrecht of Chicago, Illinois; his stepgrandchildren, Hector Hernandez of Fort Riley, Samantha Rosas (Leonardo) of Houston, LaTisha Brown (Justin) of Fort Riley, Tyler Unruh (Jeanette) of Canton and Holli; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Liana, Zoe, Preston, Elyse, Connor, Wyatt and Emma.
