She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruthea M. Backer (Merz) and George Lawrence Backer; and her sister Sherrill Backer. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Susan Taylor (Bud) of McPherson, John Krehbiel (Cindy) of McPherson, Tim Krehbiel (Patty) of Oxford and Mary Bowman (Carl) of Tip City, Ohio; and her close friends, Charlie and Kaye Orr of McPherson, Kansas.
