He was predeceased by: his father Elvin Bacon; his former wife Donna; his mother Vivian Childers (Dickerson); and his parents-in-law, Floyd and Diana Oborg.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; his son Mark Bacon (Jackie); his grandchildren, Cade, Ellie and Owen of Lincoln, Nebraska; his son Adam Bacon of McPherson, Kansas; his sisters, Jean Stevenson (J. R.) of Newton and Diane Parrish (Wayne) of McPherson, Kansas; his aunt Elsie; his uncle John Sheriff of North Newton, Kansas; and his sisters-in-law, Kris Swanson (Dale) of McPherson and Pam Mitchell of Norman, Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McPherson Free Methodist Church (1010 S Maple St, McPherson, KS 67460). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
