Betty Marie Brandsted Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Marie Brandsted of McPherson, Kansas, who passed away on October 1, 2023 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Elvera Aurell (Peterson) and John Aurell; her husband Dr. Ernest Brandsted; and her sister Jane Hendricks. She is survived by: her sons, John E. Brandsted (Cheryl) of Osage Beach and Mark W Brandsted (Pam) of Prairie Village, Kansas; her sister Mary Patricia "Pat" Johnson of McPherson, Kansas; her grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca Brandsted (Nathan Cowan), Timothy Brandsted (Lilly McElroy), Erick Brandsted (Cheryl), Jeffrey Brandsted (Ilona Auth), Elizabeth Franklin (Zach) and Alan Brandsted; and her great grandchildren, Nina, Vera Brandsted, Jacob, Lillian Cowan, Samuel, Beckham and Will Franklin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Covenant Church, and can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 West Euclid, McPherson, Kansas 67460.
