It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Butterfield of McLouth, Kansas, born in Junction City, Kansas, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Charles Lester Ruhlen and Edith May Ruhlen (Stafford); her son Edwin, Jr.; her husband Edwin Butterfield; her great grandchild Nathan; and her siblings, Stafford, Ralph, Lylas and Carole.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Burkett (Joe) of Fort Collins, CO, Susan Butterfield (Diana Robertson) of Lawrence, KS and Brad Butterfield (Lori) of Centennial, CO; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Butterfield of Estacada, OR. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family has great appreciation for the loving care she received there, and admires the dedication of the staff during the extraordinary circumstances of Covid-19.
The family suggests donations to the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor or the Clay Center Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
