She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter L. Smith and Frances M. Smith (Podraza); her husband George E. Kays; and her son George E. Kays II. She is survived by: her brother Joseph Smith of Gilbert, AZ; her friends, Rita Hughes of Lawrence, KS, Rhonda Fresz of McLouth, KS and Don Navinsky of Easton, KS; and her nephews, Aaron Smith of Phoenix, AZ and Bruce Smith (Myrna). She is also survived by other numerous nieces and nephews.
