He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Higgins and Teresa Higgins (Coleman); his daughter Nancy Wiebe (Mike) of Blue Springs, Missouri; and his siblings, Vincent, Leon "Pad", James, Victor and Angela Higgins.
He is survived by: his wife Twila; and his sons, Doug (Mary) of Lyons, Rich (Mary Lou) of Lakin and Larry (Melody) of Riverton, Wyoming. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren with on one the way; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given the St. Mary's Heritage or McCracken American Legion Post 59. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wreaths Across America.
