It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVeda Lorene Wahweotten of Mayetta, Kansas, born in Delia, Kansas, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles K. Thomas and Lillian C. Thomas (Shoptese); her son Gerald Thomas; and her siblings, Etheleene Chenault, Lorene Thomas, Melvin, Dale, Kenneth, Charles, Marlin, LaVerne and Alex Thomas.
She is survived by: her husband Ron Wahweotten; her children, Mark Lopez of Delia, KS, Tina Wahweotten of Mayetta, KS, Tony Wahweotten (Angie) of Mayetta, KS, Ray Wahweotten (Nancy) of Delia, KS and Charles "Chuck" Wahweotten (Erlinda) of Topeka, KS; her grandchildren, Jordan D'Artagnan, Chaumin D. Wahweotten, Racheal L. Deo, Robin A. Deo, Krista G. Catron, Leonard Cashman, Brennah L. Wahweotten, Zach B. Wahweotten and Abby L. Boeckman; and her great grandchildren, Chloe Clark, Allison Sumner, Russell Sumner, Maddison, McKenzie D'Artagnan, Ashley Moore, Amara Ironshield, Uriah Ironshield, Adailia D'Artagnan and Alton Cashman.
