He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Yager and Stella Yager (Casey); his stepfather John Flynn; his siblings, Kenneth Osborne, Ronald Flynn, Raymond Yager and Myrna Yager Beede; and his children-in-law, Sunyi Yager and John Otero.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia K. Burgert; his sister Mary Cooper of Phoenix, AZ; and his children, Thomas M. Yager of Liberty, MO, Robert Yager (Mary) of Marysville, Gary Yager (Cindy) of Marysville, Steven Yager (Cathy) of Marysville and Karen Otero of Denver, CO. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Camp Quality, a camp in Missouri for children with cancer.
