He was predeceased by: his father George Thorngate. He is survived by: his mother Virginia Thorngate (Cummins); his wife Denise; his children, Brandon Thorngate (Cory Norgren) and Megan Blake (Dillon); his grandchildren, Miles and Harper Blake; and his brothers, Rodney Thorngate and David Thorngate (Paula).

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
