He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Kieffer and Sarah Kieffer (Galyan); his brother Paul Kieffer; his siblings-in-law, Steve Outhet and Mary Rogers; and his stepgreat-grandson Owen Cramer.
He is survived by: his wife June Outhet; his children, Chris Kieffer (Tammy), Jennifer Love and Joseph Kieffer; and his siblings, Steve Kieffer (Julie), Monica Kieffer, Ruth Maschmeier (Mike), Loretta Bruland (Richard), Patricia Svoboda (Louis) of Barneston, NE, Martha Gross (Manuel) of Overland Park, KS, Alice Wohlbrandt (Rusty) and Theresa Durrill (Chris) of Edgerton, KS. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
