With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melba Stohs of Marysville, Kansas, born in Bremen, Kansas, who passed away on August 30, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Duensing and Selma Duensing (Holle); her husband Melvin Stohs; her sister Lavada Harnapp; her son Dave Stohs; and her son-in-law Ralph Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Anderson, Jerry Stohs (Marsha), Gordon Stohs (Alice) and Ruth Critchfield (Dale) of Cheyenne, WY; her daughter-in-law Debra Stohs; her grandchildren, Michel Stohs (Carolina) of Simpsonville, SC, Jeni Sparks (Zach), Andrea Stohs of Portland, OR, Henry Rhodes, Samantha Decker (Nick) of Littleton, CO, Kristina Helmer (Mike), Chris Stohs (Sara), Liz Sims (Morgan), Robert Stohs (Casey), Greg Stohs (Brooke) of Lincoln, NE, Kimberly Peddicord (Tucker), Johnathan Stohs (Shelby), Kelly Miner (Rob) of Cheyenne, WY and Karissa Bishop (Grant) of Cheyenne, WY; her great grandchild Lucas Stohs; her grandchildren, Porter, Emma, Kennedy, Layton Sparks, Taylor, Morgan Decker, Carson Helmer, Barrett, Sutton Stohs, Drew Sims, Lola, Jameson, Sonora Stohs, Garrett, Avery, Emmett Stohs, Bella, Colton Peddicord, Easton, Bennett Stohs, Aspen Miner, Gianna and Grady Bishop; her siblings, Eldon Duensing (Glennie) of Seward, NE, Lois Sohl (Norbert) of Beatrice, NE, Olivia Klaus (Donald), Alice Hausman of Falcon Heights, MN and Donna Duensing Smith of San Francisco, CA; and her brother-in-law Vern Harnapp (Ruth) of Longwood, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was a volunteer for RSVP and the Braille Center.
A memorial fund is established to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour.
