He was predeceased by: his daughter Isabella; and his siblings, Patrick and Catherine. He is survived by: his parents, James Borgerding and Jeanette Borgerding (Holthaus); his wife Melissa Libby of Gregory's Catholic Church; his children, Jim Borgerding (Kinzie) of Topeka, KS, Jillian Borgerding of Manhattan, KS and Jodee Borgerding; and his sisters, Susie Snapp (Jeff) of Westmoreland, KS and Linda Prior of Hanover, KS..
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Calendar Kinsley Mortuary (1006 Broadway St, Marysville, KS 66508). A rosary was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Calendar St. Gregory's Catholic Church (1310 Carolina St, Marysville, KS 66508). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM.
In honor of Jim's memory, a memorial fund has been established at St. Gregory's Catholic School.
