As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gilbert Grant may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Griffee (Swank); and his wife Virginia L. Unruh. He is survived by: his father Grant Griffee; his sons, Ted Griffee (Julee) of Marysville and Calvin Griffee of Blue Rapids; and his stepgranddaughters, Shelby Friedrichs and Jackie Jensen (Nate). He is also survived by six step-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and twelve nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Kinsley Mortuary (1006 Broadway St, Marysville, KS 66508). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
In memory of Gilbert's life, a memorial fund has been established, with specific designations to be determined in the future. Contributions may be directed to Kinsley Mortuary.
