He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Collins and Eva Collins (Tatman); his former wife Lila Mae Gibson; and his brother Gerald Collins. He is survived by: his daughter Pam McKee (Kevin); his grandchildren, Megan and Justin; and his great grandchildren, Camaron and Olivia.

A memorial fund has been established to Marysville FFA.
