He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schotte and Martha Schotte (Klaus); his former wife Annette Schotte; and his daughters-in-law, Becky Schotte and Janet Schotte.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Rowland; his children, Mark Schotte of Winfield, KS, Rev. Michael Schotte (Barbara) of Preston, KS, Kristin Fuchs (Mark) of Paola, KS, Janelle Potratz (Kevin) of Seward, NE and Nichole Bohlken (Brad) of Wymore, NE; his brother Loren Schotte (Kathy) of Liberty, NE; his grandchildren, Erik Schotte (Audrey), Amanda Neff (Brandon), Christine Grimmer (Dan), Catherine Goldenstein (Mattias), Jonathan Schotte, David Schotte, Erin Fuchs, Matthew Fuchs, Zachary Potratz, Jacob Potratz, Jenna Potratz, Brianna Potratz, Carson Bohlken, Connor Bohlken and Carly Bohlken; and his great grandchildren, Kalvin Schotte, Tyson Schotte, Cameron Schotte, Natalie Neff, Annette Neff, Adam Grimmer, Simeon Grimmer and Martha Grimmer.
A memorial fund has been established to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
