He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel "Fred" Griswold and Charlotte "Lottie" Kloxin Griswold; his wife Dee; his daughter Cindy Ingersoll; his siblings, Evelyn Richardson and Robert Griswold; and his brother-in-law Warren Richardson.

He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Griswold (Jacque) and Scott Griswold (Sherilyn); his son-in-law Greg Ingersoll of Marysville; his sister Laura Loaney (Robert) of Cranberry; and his sister-in-law Willa Griswold. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established to the Evangelical United Church of Christ.
