He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lindhorst and Lydia Lindhorst (Duensing); his wife Nila; and his sisters, Luella Neill and Ethel Stohs.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his children, Alan Lindhorst (Lana), Wamego, Shelley Pollman (Mark), Wymore, Craig Lindhorst (Jan), Marysville Fredrickson, Lynette Fredrickson (Ric) and Concordia; and his stepsons, Stan Hatesohl (Ann), Steve Hatesohl (Mary), Shawnee, Mark Hatesohl (Pamela), David Hatesohl (Julie) and Manhattan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
