He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert John and Myrtle Ann Kempke (Beagley); and his brothers, Richard, Earl, Floyd, Robert and Merle.

He is survived by : his wife Marcene Louise Gridley; his daughter Christine; his son-in-law Matt Jacobs of Gardner, KS; his grandsons, Dylan and Collin Jacobs of Gardner, KS; and his sister Melva Howard of Milford, DE. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Marquette United Methodist Church or the Marquette EMS, in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
