She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wendte and Lillian Wendte (Harder); and her husband Howard E. Gilmer. She is survived by: her sons, Greg Gilmer of Wichita, Jon Gilmer of Tulsa, OK and Brent Gilmer (Rhonda) of Wichita; her grandchildren, Joshua, Preston, Austin, Kristen Gilmer, Jason Lawhead (Tara) and Jenny Larsen (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Kolton, Jalen, Blake, Kendall and Jace; and her sister-in-law Peggy Gilmer of Seattle, WA.

Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Eastmoor United Methodist Church.
