He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Schwart and Bernice Schwart (Ahlemey). He is survived by: his wife Lea Winkley of Marion; and his brothers, Don Schwart (Ruth Ann) of Topeka and Ray Schwart (Yvonne) of Olathe. He is also survived by seven children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to Holy Family Parish, Comfort Care Homes of Newton, or Good Shepherd Hospice.
