He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Richmond and Henrietta Richmond (Conyers); his wife Violet Richmond; and his siblings, Ralph, Jack Richmond and Evelyn Bredemeier.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Richmond of Austin, Texas and Jamie Shirley (Bill) of Marion. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
