He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Warneke and Lydia M. Warneke (Lawrenz). He is survived by: his wife Edith Warneke of Marion; his children, Connie Warneke of McPherson, Pat Elling (Carl) of Tennessee and Gerry Lundy of McPherson; his grandsons, Carl Elling III (Christine) and Jeremy Elling; and his great grandchildren, Victoria, Samantha, Allie and Sarah Elling. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Harlow's name may be directed to St. Luke's Hospital Foundation or Our Savior Lutheran Church.
