He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Epperson (Gaugh) and Ed Epperson; his wife Bertha Epperson; and his siblings, Leroy Epperson, Everett Epperson (Bud) and Charlotte Baskin.

He is survived by: his children, Harold Epperson (Kim), David Epperson (Susan) and Charlotte Coleman (Chris); and his siblings, Jimmy Balentine (Maria) and Carolyn Simpson (Don). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Caring Hands Humane Society in care of Yazel-Megli Funeral Home.
