He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald G. Hett and Ruby L. Hett (Just); his wife Evelyn Funk; his son Calvin; his brother Willard Hett; his nephew Cecil Meierhoff; his siblings-in-law, Thad Meierhoff and Alvina Hett; and his nephew Gary Alleven.
He is survived by: his daughter Eileen Schmidt (Troy) of Peabody; his grandchildren, Noah and Ruby Schmidt of Peabody; and his sisters, Janie Meierhoff, Louise Whiteman and Alice Nellans. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
